Naomi Fryers
Hi Pawesome Furr-ends, and welcome to Naomi's blog profile. Here you can get to know her a bit better, as well as follow her Petslovezone blog pieces on pussy cats, pooches and other smaller animals.
Naomi is owned by a black and white domestic moggie named Bojangles and a rescue Cavalier pooch by the name of Barlie, as well as having cared for far too many foster pets to name.
Naomi is a Monash University graduate and former editor of her student newspaper. Now a post- graduate professional writing student at Deakin University, Naomi has written for a number of celebrated Australian and international lifestyle sites.
Passionate about combining her two loves of animals and all things written Naomi will take up her post of Professsional Blogger for PetsLoveZone with enthusiasm and keep all our animal loving furr-ends entertained and hopefully educated for some time to come.

It could be a birthday, adoption day celebration or obedience school graduation; in any case, your prized pooch’s big day is approaching. What better way to celebrate than by throwing a DIY doggy party? Just like a kid’s birthday, there’s bound to be excitement, treats, cake, games and much planning to be done. Fortunately, Pets Love Zone is here to take some of the guess work out of the big day for you and help you along your way to hosting one of the most sensational soirees known to man’s best friend.
First and foremost are three words: location! location! location! To ensure you make the most of your big day, choose your venue wisely. It needs to be a fully enclosed area (to avoid escapees!) but one with plenty of room for games and hooning. If your own private backyard is not suitable, think about a nearby dog-friendly park or venue. Once you’ve settled on your special spot, the preparations can begin. This means you can get stuck on the guest list and invitations.

Cats, like humans, have personalities that vary from moggie to moggie. However, the two things that makes our feline friends incredible are their unique behaviour and traits that keep pet ownership interesting. These endearing traits further cement our friend’s paw prints eternally in our hearts. Are you yet to have come across a cat without it’s own unique brand of cattitude? Either way, read on…
Cattitude can manifest itself in different ways, as we shall explore. But one of the most common forms of cattitude manifests in the old classic- the ‘midnight dash.’ Suddenly in the dead of night, under the cover of darkness, witching hour strikes and your feline friend undertakes dramatic impromptu laps of the house. Crashing ensues and the circus does not stop until every member of the family is awoken. When you finally manage to get to sleep, you feel a paw on your cheek, and perhaps a slight claw if you don’t rouse easily. By now you would have learnt this is a signal to either move over and share the pillow or lift up the doona so your cat can crawl under to keep warm.
